Most of our weddings & engagements shoots are in London or Surrey so we always get a little bit excited for bookings in other parts of the country! Sara & Ben live in Cambridge & are getting married in a cute little barn conversion in the county later this summer. Funnily enough it’s not too far from where Ally’s extended family have always lived & in fact is only a few miles from where her cousin still has a farm! (Yes, Ally is a country girl at heart!)
We first met Sara & Ben in a coffee shop in Kings Cross back in January & as they described their wedding plans over coffee & cake we instantly hit it off. They chose Wimpole Hall, a National Trust property where they often go to wander for their engagement shoot. What a stunning choice! All week the weather forecast had been temperamental promising showers & rain. A light drizzle kept us guessing in the morning but by late afternoon the clouds had cleared & whilst it wasn’t gloriously sunny it was warm & clear!
They took us on a little tour of the extensive grounds, stopping & shooting as we wandered. What a wonderful shoot! For a city couple it was lovely to get out of our urban environment & into the countryside!
Sara & Ben, here are a few of our favourites. We can’t wait to share your wedding day with you!
Ally & AJ xx
Absolutely loved the avenue of trees that took us from the main house up to the parklandIn the middle of the parkland there is a cute derelict old folly that made the perfect backdrop for some photos!
