Now Amy & Patrick’s engagement shoot is a little bit special… We always ask couples to think carefully about where they want to have their engagement shoot, we want it to be somewhere that has meaning. We’ve shot at the proposal spot, the location of the first date and outside the Church where the bride’s parents got married. Amy & Patrick chose to have their shoot at Amy’s childhood home in Surrey, which is also where they are having their wedding reception!
It was wonderful spending the afternoon with them, drinking coffee in the family kitchen & wandering around the house and garden & surrounding area. They both now live & work in London but regularly make the trip back down to Woking to see family. Amy’s Dad is busy preparing the house and garden for the 100+ guests in August & we were given the guided wedding tour; imagining the drinks reception on the patio & the wedding breakfast in the barn under a canopy of fairly lights. It truly is going to be a wonderful day & I love all the personal touches that really will make the day their own!
Back to the engagement shoot, it was that hot weekend back in May, you know summer… (I think it has rained ever since…) & so we started shooting late in the afternoon to avoid the heat. They were both naturals in front of the camera. I simply LOVE the images we captured & it makes me even more excited for their wedding later in the summer!
Here are just a few of our favourite photos!
