As we drove up, the heavens opened and rain was pounding on the windscreen, one of those freak weather storms that photographers always fear when out on location!
But, there’s always a back-up plan and today as the rain eased we ran for shelter under the huge canopy of trees in Coombe Wood. If you’ve not been to Coombe Wood we highly recommend it, on the outskirts of Croydon forming part of the Addington Hills, just next to Llyod Park, it’s a fantastic little pool of rural with a wood to walk through, trees to climb and some great trails for running on!
Today though, we were there to photograph three generations; Jan, her partner Geoff, her grown-up children Jo and Rob with their partners and her two gorgeous grandchildren. We first photographed Ellie when she was seven months old, now nearly three she was full of life and absolutely adored her grandmother! She was joined by her nine-month old cousin Riley, who having recently learned to crawl loved exploring the woods and gardens!
And mid-shoot the sun came out! Typical British weather!
Here’s few of our favourite photos!
