I’m very much a London girl and I think traveling to Durham to photograph the lovely Simon & Sueling’s wedding is about as far north as I have ever been!
Simon & Sueling are also Londoners, living and working in the capital, but coming from Darlington and with most of her (large) family still in the area they decided to get married ‘up north’.
It’s one of those love stories where they meet at work and fall in love… Sueling was the only girl at the office Christmas party that Simon carried home because her shoes hurt her feet…
After a fun two years of dating, setting up home together and new jobs, Simon proposed on a weekend away in the idilic Cotswolds celebrating their two-year anniversary. She said yes and their beautiful wedding just goes to show you don’t need years to plan the perfect wedding – they did it all in four short months!
As their friends and family gathered around them on a gorgeous August day – the sky was blue, the sun was shining – Simon & Sueling said the vows they wrote themselves with tears in their eyes and sealed their commitment with a kiss.
Simon & Sueling, it was an absolute joy to be a part of your special day and we’re thrilled that you chose us to document your wedding. Here are some of our favourite photos…

The wedding day began with preparation at Ramside Hall. Simon’s brother and best mate since childhood were his best men with two other friends his ushers.Simon gave his groomsmen a personalised pint glass and so it seemed appropriate for one last pint together before Simon said I do! Sueling has four sisters, her three older sisters got up very early on the morning of the wedding and did an absolutely amazing job of decorating the marquee. The jars of fresh flowers dotted around were divine. Simon & Sueling served their guests a wonderful English afternoon tea with sandwiches, cakes and scones with lashings of jam and cream. The wedding favours were personalised tea bags, such a cute idea! Sueling had seven bridesmaids and two flowers girls – her four sisters, three close friends and her two nieces! They all looked stunning! After the afternoon tea the guests enjoyed drinks in the garden whilst we went off into the grounds for some more wedding photos. Every good wedding involved dancing and Simon & Sueling’s first dance opened the dance floor for a night of partying before they left through a tunnel of sparkers!
What a truly fabulous day!
