Rain does not stop play! Early October & it was a typically British autumn day; chilly, grey, damp & drizzly. But Colette & Sebastian did not let the weather spoil their special day one little bit!
At every break in the clouds they ran outside, umbrella wielding groomsmen trailing in their wake, to get a ‘just a few more photos…’ We were actually pretty fortunate and managed to get pretty much all the photos they wanted before the heavens opened. Lovely British weather, huh!
After a ceremony at St John’s Church in Tamworth, they celebrated with friends & family at the beautiful Wotton House near Dorking. A stunning venue even under a blanket of grey clouds!
Colette & her bridesmaids got ready at her parents home near to the Church.
Rain meant that the planned photos in the garden instead took place in the conservatory. Look closely & you can see the rain drops on the glass!
Whilst Seb & his Groomsmen got ready at Wotton House.
The ceremony was at St John’s in Tadworth.
I’d love to know what made them all laugh so much!
Colette & Seb were determined to walk out of the Church to confetti – even if it was raining!
The Wotton House estate is over 400 years old & was home to the first Italian garden in England.
The temple provided a great spot for photos – not just because it was picturesque but also because it provided a little shelter when needed!
Rain does not stop play!
Inside with it’s spectacular vaulted ceilings, 17th century pillars & original marble fireplaces is the stunning Old Library.
A designer by trade, Seb hand drew the illustrations used on all the wedding stationery. Whilst the wedding favours were little pots of homemade jam – made by the mothers!
A break in the clouds saw a few more photos after the speeches.
And every good wedding ends with dancing!
Colette & Sebastian, thank your choosing us to be a part of your special day. Despite the rain, it was a day filled with sunshine & joy as you celebrated your love for each other. We hope the photos bring you many more years of sunshine.
