AJ met Neil in the middle of the most intense rain storm at Greenbelt Arts Festival last summer. We photograph the festival each year & Neil was one of the volunteers making the event happen. Sheltering under a umbrella & making small talk as you do in such situations, Neil asked AJ if we did wedding photography & then let on that he’d recently got engaged…
And what an engagement story! At Christmas in 2014 Neil took his then girlfriend Julia, for a walk along the south coast. It was December, just after Christmas & the place was deserted. Mid-way through a picnic that he’d lovingly prepared he asked Julia to stand up & close her eyes. When she opened them he was on one knee & asking her to marry him! He had to ask twice as she was in shock. Thankfully she said yes!
Julia & Neil were married in early May on one of those really hot days that seem very few and far between this summer! It truly was glorious & they could not have wished for a better day! The ceremony was at Barnes Methodist Church in West London before they moved onto the gorgeous Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park for the reception & partying!
Julia & Neil, we absolutely loved sharing your special day with you, here are just a few of our very favourite photos!
