We love a winter wedding! We were married in winter ourselves and so we were extra excited to photograph John and Ruth’s November nuptials. There’s always a glimmer of hope that it just ‘might’ snow at a winter wedding…!
Unfortunately on the day of John and Ruth’s wedding it rained (as indeed it did for our own wedding!). Arriving to photograph Ruth getting ready it was torrential. But their luck was in, there was a break in the clouds just long enough for John and Ruth to travel to and arrive at the Church, the ceremony and a few photos outside the Church afterwards… By the time you sit down for the wedding breakfast and the speeches it doesn’t really matter what the weather is doing outside! Hurrah!
Here are a a few of our favourite photos from the day.
Ruth and the bridesmaids bouquets and the groomsmen’s button holes were handmade from paper and came from the US. She said she saw them on a website and fell in love with them. After a bit of searching traced the supplier and was able to order some in exactly the right colour!
That tender moment just before a father walks his daughter down the aisle.
Every wedding finishes with a party!
